This is currently very popular as an off beat speciality
it is actually a very traditional and aesthetic ski style
using a softer boot and a binding
that pins the toe to the ski, not the heel.
The turning technique is quite different from Alpine Ski.
Telemark system is very adaptable for Ski Touring.
